In 2022, Financial Advisor magazine named CAPTRUST as the nation’s largest registered investment advisor (RIA) for the seventh consecutive year. With more than 1,400 employees and 80 locations nationwide, CAPTRUST oversees $700 billion in assets for more than 10,000 clients.
The firm’s specialized team of multidisciplinary financial advisors in Allentown, PA, works with business-owning families who have substantial wealth to grow and protect that wealth over generations, mitigate risk, and perpetuate their legacies. The Allentown team offers a suite of services including multigenerational wealth planning, business and estate preservation, charitable and legacy planning, and risk management.
CAPTRUST also works with retirement plan sponsors, endowments, foundations, and religious entities to provide investment advisory services, fiduciary support, plan design, provider analysis and fee benchmarking, and employee advice programs. Our advisors provide financial wellness advice to thousands of retirement plan participants each year via one-on-one and group meetings, phone consultations, webinars, and monthly emails.
As an independent and majority employee-owned firm, we provide objective investment advice that is grounded in our commitment to service beyond expectation.
CAPTRUST was built on the premise that investors are best served by advisors who are motivated to focus exclusively on their clients’ best interests. This commitment to integrity has enabled us to grow from the vision of a few entrepreneurial founders to one of the nation’s largest independent advisory firms.
We believe we have a profound responsibility to share our success. With that responsibility in mind, our employees contribute time, money, and energy to our communities, and especially to children in need. To enrich the lives of people in our communities, the CAPTRUST Community Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) charity, raises and distributes more than one million dollars annually, mostly via donations from CAPTRUST employees, which are matched by the company. Fulton Bank boasts more than $27 billion in assets and operates in five states, but it is very much a community-oriented institution.
“We benefit from the communities we serve, so serving those communities is a key tenet for us,”explained Chris Brown, Senior Vice President and Director SBALending for Fulton. “Reinvesting in the places we serve is an important part of our culture. We always strive to make our communities better.”
An example of the company’s commitment to the community is Fulton Financial Advisor’s sponsorship of the Lehigh Valley Food & Wine Gala, an event that since its founding has raised more than $2.3 million in scholarships for Northampton Community College(NCC) students. Brown, who serves on NCC’s Foundation Board, said the college and its students are valuable assets to the greater Lehigh Valley.
“The college offers an unbelievable array of degree and non-degree programs that benefit the entire area,” he said. “Being able to access a qualified work force is critical for businesses and industries in the region, and NCC helps us be able to do that.”
Brown cited the college’s lineworker trainee program, a 12-week course that prepares students for entry level line work in the electrical or telecommunications industries, as an example.
“There’s a real need for workers in those industries and NCC is preparing students for these jobs,”Brown said. “The college has been a leader in developing customized training solutions to meet the needs of area companies. If we can be a partner in helping raise money for scholarships, we’re happy to do that.”
He is looking forward to this year’s Gala, Brown said, and is excited to witness NCC’s continuing growth and success.“It’s such a tremendous asset with very strong leadership,” Brown said about NCC. “I’m just proud to be a member of the Foundation Board.”

For nearly a decade, PSECU, Pennsylvania’s largest credit union, has provided students, faculty, and staff at Northampton Community College (NCC) with access to easy banking and financial education services conveniently located on campus. PSECU has a longstanding commitment to helping members achieve their financial and educational goals, and this partnership extends that commitment to the Lehigh Valley region.
“We exist to help members and their communities,” said Donna White, PSECU Community Relationship Manager. “Our ‘people helping people’ philosophy aligns with NCC’s dedication to bettering students by providing comprehensive learning experiences to the diverse community in which we live.”
PSECU has been instrumental in helping students reduce the financial burden of postsecondary education through PSECU’s scholarship program. Each year, six scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors that are valued at up to $8,000 for a total of $48,000. Winners are selected based on their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and critical thinking and writing skills.
“We believe that education is one of the most important investments a person can make, and we’re proud to work together with NCC to help foster more opportunities and make furthering education accessible to all in the Lehigh Valley,” said Candice Richards, PSECU Regional Membership Development Manager.
Because PSECU is a digital-first credit union, students can take their accounts with them well beyond graduation. And when responsibilities and financial needs shift during life, PSECU products, services, benefits, and resources will be there to help members live better, whether that means saving more money, paying down debt, or achieving their own family’s goals. It is important to Viamedia to be a good community partner. Sponsoring the Food & Wine Gala is an opportunity to give back to our community. Corporate social responsibility starts at the local level. With the Food & Wine Gala being one of the largest fundraisers for the college, it makes perfect sense for Viamedia to be an annual sponsor.
Scholarships enable students to obtain an education they may not have access to otherwise. These funds go further than financial aid, they reward deserving students with the ability to afford a higher education and pursue their career goals.
Proceeds from the scholarships have an impact throughout the entireLehigh Valley area. They help in providing students with the critical skills that local employers seek in employees. A highly trained workforce benefits the entire community.
The Lehigh Valley is fortunate to have NCC as part of the community; providing one of the most cost effective college tuitions in Pennsylvania. With an outstanding faculty and staff committed to helping each student succeed, NCC offers both affordability and convenience to recent high school graduates as well as adult learners seeking to gain new skills.
